We come from many places—along different paths, bringing different truths.

May this flag inspire us to live with pride, to embrace our truths, and to unite in the face of adversity.

What if sometimes it’s about sparking potential into possibility, and possibility into existence?

love is your song and you are fully loved in turn

I cannot assume anything when you welcome me into your spaces with suspicion and fear.

Be kind. Be brave. Be just. Be merciful.

May our spirits be guided by our values.

Discomfort /in the name of holy wholeness / Bring all of ourselves / in the name of holy, of wholeness

We can plant the seeds of love and justice in the world.

Sing in our hearts all the stirrings of compassion for the oppressed, for those who are scared and hurting.

We can’t run from ourselves. The answer to safety is always closer rather than farther away.

We have come here today to remember what some are intent on making us forget.

Can you imagine what it was like to be inside of that house, afraid that it might fall all apart from the destructive force of the wind and the rain, from the whole storm?

The person who enjoys privilege always knows less about the person who lives under the weight of that privilege than the people who are actually under it.

As Unitarian Universalists, our journey is to transform the big and the small, to transform ourselves, and to transform the world.

It is now, when we are called to act on our values, not to hide, not to fear, but to be bold and loud.

Life is political, not because the world cares about how you feel, but because the world reacts to what you do.

Everything is about to change. And it already has. It will be. It was. It is. The dawn you eagerly await to end the long, cold darkness is already full sun far off in the east. Yet even after light’s return spring is months away. Thirty long years pass after His birth before the Messiah comes.
