General Assembly (GA) 2022 took place online and in Portland, OR, from June 22-26. While some events, including the General Sessions listed below, are available online to the public, full participation and/or voting as a delegate required registration.
The UUA wants the multiplatform General Assembly to be an equitable experience for all, including the voting process.
The General Assembly is the annual business meeting of the denomination. An elected moderator presides at the General Assembly in accordance with rules of procedure. General Assemblies make overall policy for carrying out the purposes of the Association and direct and control its affairs. Voting at each regular and special General Assembly shall be by accredited delegates from certified member congregations, certified associate member organizations, and trustees.
New for GA 2022: voting occured outside the General Sessions. Results were posted on the UUA Voting Website.
