What Our Planners Are Doing

Utilizing clearly labeled 3-bin waste stations (recycle, compost, landfill) throughout the venue.

Choosing to use durable, reusable plates, cups, and cutlery for all food service rather than disposables.

Donating any extra food and leftover materials to local community groups.

What Our Venue Is doing

  • Collecting compostable materials including: food scraps (bones and proteins included), liquids, coffee grounds, and paper towels
  • Prohibiting plastic bags, foam core signage, and helium balloons
  • Emphasizing the use of water refill stations throughout the DLCC to allow for easy water bottle refill rather than buying disposables.
  • Recycling hard to process materials such as:
    • Plastic Shrink Wrap, Sheet Plastic, Bubble Wrap
    • Styrofoam Peanuts
    • Vinyl Tablecloths
    • Wood Pallets
    • Lumber or Other Wood Scraps
    • Scrap Metal
    • Grease
