Workshops and Trainings in the Pacific Western Region
PWR Leadership Experience
To fortify our congregational leadership, Leadership Experience gathers small groups from across our region for a weekend of history, how to and timely content relevant to the work and ministry of making congregations thrive followed by online sessions over the following months. Ideal for board members or other individuals in leadership positions, congregations are strongly encouraged to send current leaders and people being considered for future leadership positions. Ministers and other religious professionals may also attend.
Multicultural Transformation Day
Oftentimes, our congregations seek to become more “diverse” racially by attracting people of color to become members. We still have a low retention rate. How can we shift our culture to become more inclusive? How can we develop skills to lovingly address racial injustice in our midst? And how can we challenge ourselves to learn and grow?
Our Whole Lives (OWL) and Religious Education Trainings
The Pacific Western Region offers a number of trainings for leaders in religious education programs in our congregations throughout the year. These trainings include Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education Facilitator Trainings, Renaissance Modules and other trainings for religious education leaders.
Webinars offer a convenient way to engage in online collaborative learning across the Pacific Western Region. Participating as a learning community in your congregation gives your team a starting point to gain insight, discuss with religious leaders, and focus your congregation’s learning community on what matters.
