Webinars, Workshops and Trainings in the Pacific Western Region
Webinars offer a convenient way to engage in online collaborative learning across the Pacific Western Region. Participating as a learning community in your congregation gives your team a starting point to gain insight, discuss with religious leaders, and focus your congregation’s learning community on what matters.
Institutionalizing a Ministry of Generosity
Institutionalizing a Ministry of Generosity will provide religious leaders with materials and support to shift congregational practices and transform culture in order to promote generosity in all areas of congregational life. Areas to be covered include operational management (mission clarity, narrative budgets, annual giving campaigns, multiple giving opportunities, planned giving, donor appreciation, compensation etc.), covenantal congregational life, worship, faith formation, pastoral care, and membership formation. The 2018-2019 cohort has been finalized, but watch for future opportunities and see some of the program's homework in the LeaderLab.
PWR Leadership Experience 2019
This pilot program will be a hybrid in-person/online learning experience. Participants will meet for a weekend retreat in one of three locations in January 2019. Participants will then have eight follow-up 90-minute video conference calls by Zoom February through May. There will also be an optional gathering for all participants at UUA General Assembly in Spokane, Washington, in June.
This program will be ideal for board members or other individuals in leadership positions within a congregation. Congregations are also strongly encouraged to send people who are being considered for future leadership positions. Ministers and other religious professionals may also attend.
Religious Education Trainings
The Pacific Western Region offers a number of trainings for leaders in religious education programs in our congregations throughout the year. These trainings include Our Whole Lives Facilitator Trainings, Renaissance Modules and other trainings for religious education leaders.
