Airport Options
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Washington DC/Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA):
- Follow the signage in the airport to the Metro.
- Take the SILVER line going towards Largo.
- At the Foggy Bottom-GWU stop, switch/transfer to the BLUE line going towards Franconia-Springfield.
- Get off at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport stop.
Washington DC/Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI):
- Follow the signage in the airport to the Metro.
- Take the SILVER line going towards Largo.
- Get off at the Metro Center stop and get on the RED line towards Glenmont.
- Get off at Union Station.
- Follow the signs to the MARC train. Amtrak is an alternative train based on the departure times. If using the Amtrak, travel from Washington Union Station (WAS) to Baltimore Penn Station (BAL)
- Get on the Penn Line to BWI Rail Station or go directly to Penn Station to end in the Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore City.
- Take the free Charm City Circulator to your hotel or local attractions.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Baltimore Penn Station (train):
- Follow the signage in the airport to the Metro.
- Take the SILVER line going towards Largo.
- At the McPherson Square stop, switch to the ORANGE line towards New Carrollton.
- Follow the signs to the New Carrollton buses.
- Get on the MARC train going towards Baltimore and Perryville.
- Get off at the Penn Station stop.
- Take the free Charm City Circulator to your hotel or local attractions.
Baltimore / Washington Airport (BWI)
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is located 10 miles from downtown Baltimore. The airport serves more than 75 cities nonstop, is a Southwest hub, and is serviced by Delta, United, American, JetBlue, Alaska, Frontier, Spirit, and others.

Commuter Rail
For a hassle-free trip to downtown Baltimore, consider taking the MARC Train from the BWI Rail Station. It's affordable and avoids the traffic on I-95. The station is accessible via the free shuttle from the airport.

Light Rail
Baltimore’s light rail system also services the airport. It’s a 28 minute ride from the airport to the convention center. When riding Light Rail or Metro Subway purchase single trip fare at a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) and a single trip Go Pass will be issued. Currently, TVMs only accept cash payment. One-way fares may also be purchased on the CharmPass mobile transit fare app.

App-Based Ride Shares
User Uber or Lyft apps to request your ride. Pick up is at the designated area outside of the upper departures level.
Shuttles and Buses
SuperShuttle Express offers shared and individual airport transportation.
The 28X Bus Line connects the airport with downtown Pittsburgh. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes, outside Baggage Claim Door #2. Route map (PDF). The fare is $2.75 each way; exact change required. ConnectCards may be purchased in Baggage Claim, next to Door #6. Passengers are responsible for handling their bags when getting on and off the vehicle. All 28X vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
Rental Cars
Free airport shuttle service transports rental car customers between the airport terminal and the Car Rental Facility. Passengers arriving on flights can board the Rental Car shuttle from any of 3 locations: Inner Curb of our Arrivals/Lower Level at Doors 1, 11 and 16. Providers include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, NextCar, SiXT, and Thrifty.
