Housing
By using the General Assembly (GA) Housing Reservation System, attendees earn meeting space for the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) at the hotels and the convention center. Additionally, the UUA is able to negotiate on behalf of our block of attendees for sustainability and accessibilities requirements. We are also able to assist attendees in booking rooms within our block with housing issues they may encounter during General Assembly. Incentives, like hotel rebates and concessions, enable us to fund financial support for participants and offer private meeting space for various groups meeting in-person.
2025 GA Hotels
The General Assembly Housing Reservation System features confirmed Baltimore hotel properties managed by Visit Baltimore, the official GA Housing Bureau. These downtown properties are within 0.5 miles of the Baltimore Convention Center. To make your reservation, or edit an existing reservation, please use General Assembly Housing Reservation System. Do not reach out to hotels directly for booking, as they will be not able to offer you the specialty UUA contracted rates.

The Lord Baltimore is the oldest operating hotel in Baltimore, opening in 1927. It has been a part of local history ever since, including hosting a press conference by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1965. It has fully accessible rooms and public spaces, but the building maintains the gothic art deco design with narrower hallways and doorways.

Dormitory Housing
Making GA More Affordable: A Dormitory Housing Update
Affordability is a priority for General Assembly (GA), and we continually explore options to make attendance accessible to everyone. As part of this effort, we conducted a comprehensive search for lower-cost dormitory housing at colleges and universities near Baltimore.
Unfortunately, the available dormitory options are located more than 40 minutes away from the Baltimore Convention Center. This significant travel time poses logistical challenges, including delays and added stress, which could negatively impact the GA experience.
To make a determination, we surveyed GA newsletter recipients with the question:
"If the most affordable lodging option for General Assembly (GA) requires public transportation, what is the maximum travel time by transit you’d consider acceptable?" (If you are not getting the weekly emails - sign up here)
Here’s what you told us:
- Close proximity to the Convention Center only: 33%
- 10–15 minutes: 27.8%
- 16–30 minutes: 33.5%
- 30–45 minutes: 5.3%
- Up to an hour or more away: 0.5%
With the majority of responses indicating a preference for housing within 30 minutes or closer, and none of the available dormitory options meeting this criterion, we have made the difficult decision to eliminate the dormitory lodging option for GA 2025. We remain committed to making GA accessible and affordable and will continue to share updates about other lodging and cost-saving opportunities. Thank you for your input!
