Ideation Activity for Covenants

Part of Deeper Joy

Works best for: with members who've built a covenant before, a group of less than 8 people, when you have time for discussion.

Start with a blank page and whatever is in the minds of participants. The group goes through four stages of ideating:

  1. Offer any ideas of what should be on a community agreement without judgement, no wrong answers.
  2. Synthesize by grouping like ideas and discarding ideas the group agrees are not needed.
  3. Rewrite the synthesized ideas neatly on a separate piece of paper.
  4. Decide whether to accept the final product and sign the covenant in agreement.
