Financial Support
Youth groups, seminarians, workshop presenters, artists, musicians, and others have successfully raised needed financial support to be part our denomination's annual business, networking, and learning gathering.
General Assembly (GA) Planners are committed to the goal of making the General Assembly accessible to the maximum number of attendees possible.
By providing a multi-platform event with robust virtual programming and opportunities for engagement, we retain our dedication to community and make our experience more accessible and more environmentally sustainable.
The General Assembly and Conference Services office seeks sites for General Assembly by focusing on a combination of affordability, accessibility, and opportunity. The UUA secures contracts with local hotels negotiating the lowest possible rates for our attendees and, where possible, securing alternative low-cost lodging such as local university dormitories, when available.

Important Guidelines for Participants Receiving Financial Support
- Local Participants: If you are local and do not require housing, you are eligible for financial support or other promo codes.
- Housing Requirement: If you need housing, you must book accommodations within our designated reservation block.
- Budget Considerations: The rates and terms we negotiated for this block are crucial for hosting our event in a more urban destination, which provides more housing and transportation options. Meeting our commitments for room nights, food and beverage, and other services is essential for maintaining our budget. Additionally, the UUA is able to negotiate on behalf of our block of attendees for sustainability and accessibilities requirements.
- Consequences of Booking Outside the Block: If participants choose to book outside the designated block and save money, those savings must be used to cover their own GA registration and any other associated expenses.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
