Staff "read mores" go nowhere
I lately noticed that the "read more" links for our staff bios no longer work, but default to the home page, so the additional bio info is no longer displayed. I see nothing in the staff bio pages that does the "read more" truncation. The manual "insert read more" option for each bio page does not seem to be used. The bios seem to truncate at a word or line count for "read more" that must be set some other way, but I don't see it.

There is a workaround for this. You can modify the staffer plugin yourself so that the "more" links work. See: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/individual-staff-pages-lost-since-upgrade/ for some discussion. You'll need to change line 98 in the file wp-content/plugins/staffer/public/class-staffer-public.php from:
'public' => false,
to:
'public' => true,
Be sure to make a copy of that file first, just in case. This only applies to version 2.1.0 of staffer. I'm not sure why the developer has not released a new version to fix this, I suspect this plugin is no longer being maintained
