Customizable Color Schemes
Are there any plans to open up the color schemes to be completely customizable by the user? I did some experimentation and using a black and white version of the background image along with a semi-transparent body background color (50% alpha layer seems to work fine) let me set it to a color that better compliments our church logo while maintaining the nice pattern you've provided. I haven't dug too deeply into how many colors change per theme in the CSS (like the navigation and link colors), but I would expect there aren't so many that it would be overly onerous to allow us to pick them.

Nope that won't be something we'll be establishing as a feature. Users can override any colours they wish using the Custom CSS feature or a child theme. We may at some point add other colour schemes, but they'll never be user customizable via any sort of admin interface. This is due to two things mostly - first, the maintenance of accessibility as a guiding standard for the theme; second, the use of the UUA palette and branding that were tested with target audiences
