Lillian is a Congregational Life Staff member in the Southern Region & Co-Dean of the LeaderLab Learning Center. The Southern Region serves the faith by fostering congregational health and vitality; LeaderLab & The UU Institute develop resources for lay leaders and Religious Professionals.

Trainings either co-developed by or featuring Lillian on the UU Institute include the new series, Tending Congregational Life: Guiding the Membership Journey, DRE-led Youth Ministry Volunteer Orientation, & Tending Covenant: Training for Right Relationship Teams.

Lillian and Cameron Young created and annually facilitate the Southern Region's Leadership Experience (LE) Primer Series, equipping newer leaders with foundational knowledge.

As a formally trained Renaissance Program Facilitator, Lillian has co-led the Administration as Leadership and Dimensions of Faith Development Modules.

Lay leaders and Religious Professionals in the Southern Region can contact Lillian by submitting a Partnership Activation Request Form or through the information above.

Lillian came to Unitarian Universalism as a youth and holds a special place in her heart for youth ministry. She was fortunate to be engaged in campus ministry as an undergrad and has worked to pay this gift forward by developing and supporting young adult leadership at the congregational level. Her graduate work in nonprofit management led Lillian from an early career in domestic violence advocacy to service to our faith as a religious professional.

She served the First Unitarian Church of Dallas for over a decade; directing programs for youth, developing new young adult-centered initiatives and leading adult religious education. She worked on the team developing Faith Forward: From Visitor to Leader and directed the first congregational implementation of this faith development path. In her final year at First Dallas, she collaborated with Rev. Thandeka to incorporate elements of Thandeka’s Love Beyond Belief program, featuring transformative small group spiritual practice, into faith development offerings.

Lillian resides with her family in Dallas, Texas and is honored to serve our Southern Region and wider faith.
