Being a Mentor to a CLM

CLM Mentors are agreed upon by the Council, candidate and the candidate's minister.

The CLM Council provides training for new mentors.

These are the basic responsibilities of the CLM Mentor.

  • The candidate should make first contact with the mentor.
  • Mentors should meet approximately monthly with their CLM candidates.
  • Attend quarterly meetings of mentors.
  • Review the candidate's quarterly reports.
  • Guide the candidate through the program; prepare them for readiness and may need to slow down the process for the candidate.
  • Complete the final evaluation near the end of the program.
  • Try to attend the commissioning ceremony.
