Forum design: binary answered/not answered is awkward

Earlier today I posted a question (actually several questions) about the Services plugin. As I continued to work, more questions came up related to the same general topic. From experience I thought it better to add these questions to the original topic rather than create a new question for every variant that came up. There seemed no way to add to or modify a question except to "answer" the original question. So I posted my additional questions as "answers." Experiencing this format leaves me wondering: by "answering" my own "question" did I signal to those who might be able to actually answer the accumulating questions that they do not need to review any of them, because they have already been answered? Thanks, Jim
