First off, the Chalice Lighter Committee would like to thank everyone who made our Fall Chalice Lighter Call a success. Thanks to you, we raised over $16,000 to help the Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia, Missouri, make their building more accessible.

Now for our Winter Chalice Lighter Call, we’re seeking donations to help Second Unitarian Church of Omaha, Nebraska, make their building safer and more energy efficient by replacing two HVAC units, one of which has already failed, leaving one aging unit which may fail at any time. This project supports and implements one of the congregation’s Developmental Ministry goals: an organizational and physical structure appropriate for and responsive to their vision. The HVAC project will also increase environmental sustainability since the two outdated HVAC systems will be replaced with energy efficient, “green” equipment.
