Due to our need for physical distance and social connection, our Regional Assembly set for April 18, 2020, will be virtual this year. Instead of meeting in-person on April 18, 2020, we will gather on-line for a report from the Commission on Institutional Change (COIC), annual Business Meeting, Keynote presentation by Taquiena Boston, and previously advertised workshops. We are grateful that all our partners were able and willing to transition to an on-line format. The schedule will be similar to what was originally advertised. Since the entire event is virtual there will be no live streaming. Register to attend online RA!
If you already registered and do not want to attend RA, you can get a full refund by emailing Andrew Zallar at azallar@uua.org. We are offering full refunds through April 5, 2020. In addition, we reduced the cost of RA to $50. Youth and emerging young adults (ages 25 and under) and scholarship recipients are free. Everyone who had registered prior to the change received a refund. If you have not received your refund, please contact Andrew.
In order to participate, you will need to have an internet connection and Zoom on your computer. It is also possible to use a telephone to call into a meeting on Zoom. This requires a telephone, but neither internet nor a computer. Just make sure to “mute” yourself when you call in! Our UU LeaderLab has a terrific on-line resource with basic information about how to get started on Zoom.
If you are uncertain about how to get started on Zoom, please check out our on-going series of webinars entitled “How To Use Zoom.” These webinars are offered April 7, 9 and 14 at 1 PM Eastern (April 2 is already full). Registration is required and participation is limited so there is space for questions. If more sessions are needed they will be added. You are encouraged to register for these meetings if you want to experiment with calling in to a meeting on your telephone or connect through your computer. Once you register you will receive information about how to call in to the meeting, as well as log in through a computer. Sessions will offer information about how to mute yourself, change your name and image, use the chat feature and more!
