Our lives are shaped by the interactions we have with one another and the stories we tell about those interactions. Like the bricklayers in the opening quote, we frame our world with the stories we tell about it. There is the story of the taxi driver who always tries to cheer his riders. He believed that he could improve the world one rider at a time. He had faith that if he were kind and smiled, his rider would go on and have a better day, perhaps cheering others as well.
