UUA Shares Images from Inside Temporary Overnight Shelter

On Thursday, March 7th, 2024, the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), along with our partners the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, the Black Refugee & Immigrant Community Coalition, and the Greater Boston YMCA, welcomed the first of our guests in the overnight shelter for vulnerable families and children that will be temporarily housed in a portion of vacant space at our facility at 24 Farnsworth Street.

Unitarian Universalists believe we have the moral obligation to support vulnerable families, including migrant families. Every child deserves a safe place to sleep, and we are pleased to do our part to help them. We hope other commercial landowners across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will consider doing the same.

At this time, our facility is closed to the public and will remain so while we host our new guests. The UUA is releasing the images below from the temporary overnight shelter that were taken two days before guests arrived.
