John Burroughs

Dr. John Burroughs is Executive Director of the New York City-based Lawyers Committee on Nuclear Policy. He represents LCNP in Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty meetings and the United Nations. He is author of The Legality of Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons: A Guide to the Historic Opinion of the International Court of Justice (1998), and co-editor of Nuclear Disorder or Cooperative Security? (2007). His articles and op-eds have appeared in publications including Fordham International Law Journal, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Arms Control Today, and Newsweek. He has taught international law as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School.
