Digital Leadership Training: MWLS goes online for 2020!
As you all know, we will not be having our in-person MidWest Leadership School this year—but we’re planning on being back in 2021 at our new location at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Mark your calendars for July 11-17, 2021.
In the meantime, we are planning a series of four Saturdays throughout the late summer/fall for digital-based leadership education. We don’t have the details all worked out yet, as it takes time to figure out the essential programming and the calendar schedule. We are planning for 3-4 hours on four Saturdays, spaced 2-3 weeks apart. We will have homework to do before each session, and there will be a Credo group that will meet during the week (a small group ministry) in which you’ll make deeper connections with the other students. We are including UU History and Theology with the remarkable Rev. Connie Simon, minister at First Unitarian in Cincinnati, and each Saturday will also feature key leadership ideas designed for these digital times. We expect that registration will be in the $200 range.
We expect to announce the plans by the middle of July, at the latest. If you have any questions, or you’d like to be on our interest list, please email Lisa Presley at lpresley [at] uua [dot] org.
