Salem, OR
An Invitation from the UU Congregation of Salem, OR
he Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem, Oregon is a religious home for those who seek a religious community that will accept and honor you as you are. Spiritual and religious coercion is not our way. Rather, we provide a community where we support and encourage one another in our continuing spiritual, intellectual and personal development. In short, we think our tagline says it all: Diverse people. Diverse beliefs. One community.
About the Space
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem building is conveniently located at the intersection of Center Street and Cordon Road.
Hanneman Hall is the large fellowship hall named for one of our founding members.
We have a Memorial Garden for quiet reflection, and to memorialize with a plaque those who have died. It is just east of the Sanctuary.
What’s Included Onsite
We will gather together to listen to and share songs of faith, community and resistance, will collectively engage in livestream viewing, and will share in facilitated conversations and meals to help us integrate our virtual experience in a community setting.
Parking and Transportation
Parking is available in front of the building, and across Center Street in a graveled parking lot which is available on Sundays or during events. If you are able, please park further away so that visitors and those who need to park closer to the entrance may do so. Overflow parking is across Center Street from the church.
Bike racks are also available in the main parking lot, across from the front entrance.
Our Google Maps link offers you door-to-door directions for driving, walking, biking, or public transit.
Accessibility
All areas of the building are wheelchair accessible. It is possible to wheel directly into the building, which is all on one level. Access to the patio and grounds is along paved paths with ramps available. Accessible parking spaces are available near the building. We provide assistive listening devices for people who attend services in person.
