An Invitation from First Church in Boston, MA
We are excited to share an enriching GA 2026 experience with you from Boston’s Back Bay! Come experience GA from Boston’s oldest church community. Our 54 year old building, with inclusive bathrooms, accessible entrances, and a full kitchen, provides an accessible place to ground your time at General Assembly. Join us for incredible music and programming! With state-of-the-art multimedia and streaming capabilities, we are in for a great GA satellite experience. We have lots of space to enjoy refreshments while connecting and gathering with fellow UUs. Between sessions you can explore Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, the Public Garden, and the Boston Common! We’ll see you in June!
About the Space
Our current building was finished in 1972, and designed for secular as well as religious purposes. What now stands is a hybrid building, incorporating the surviving parts of the original building.
Our Sanctuary which is known for its excellent acoustics and unique architectural style, accommodates up to 250 people. As the primary worship space for First Church services, the Sanctuary works equally well as a space for quiet reflection or as a venue for a musical or theatre performance.
The Hale Chapel provides a unique back drop for musical, theatre, or spoken word performances, round table discussions and many others. The Chapel can accommodate 75 people.
The Auditorium provides an ideal setting for presentations and intimate theater productions. The raised stage is ideal for plays, dance recitals, speakers and panel discussions. The Auditorium can accommodate 75 people.
What’s Included Onsite
We will gather together to listen to and share songs of faith, community and resistance, will collectively engage in livestream viewing, and will share in facilitated conversations and meals to help us integrate our virtual experience in a community setting.
