Register Your Active Environmental Group as a Climate Action Team

Planet Earth

You don’t have to start all over again if you want to have a Climate Action Team (CAT) at your congregation! Unitarian Universalist (UU) groups already active on climate change can simply register as CATs to be connected to the network and resources that the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office (UU-UNO) provides. Existing groups have the same registration process as newly established groups. They must simply establish a CAT point person and when registering as a CAT, provide their contact information to the UU-UNO. It is also recommended that they provide an email address and blog for the group. A CAT point person is someone appointed by the Climate Action Team to communicate with the UU-UNO specifically for the CAT Program.

Green Sanctuary committees can easily become CATs if they so choose. Taking part in the Climate Action Team program can expand their work to the larger community and provide activities other in addition to reducing their congregation’s carbon footprint.
