A Look Back at Our 52 Years at the United Nations

UN & UUA Flags

The Unitarian Universalist Association Office at the United Nations was a non-governmental organization in association with the United Nations Department of Global Communications and in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

After careful review, in 2023 the UUA determined that the vital work of the UU@UN is more closely aligned with the mission and strategic priorities of UUSC. Given this, we made the bold decision to use our historic leverage within the UN sphere to bolster UUSC’s human rights advocacy work.

We invite UUs to support UUSC’s ongoing work at the UN, and to participate in the UU College of Social Justice’s Multigenerational Seminar, offering global justice learnings and opportunities for action.
