Led by Lauren Wyeth, Rev. Erica Baron, and Dr. Melissa James, this Wave Cohort met through the Spring of 2025 and for three days at General Assembly 2025.

Description: There is a growing recognition of the unique challenges parents face raising their children in today’s world. In Fall 2024, Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued an advisory naming parental stress as a public health concern for its toll on both the physical and mental wellbeing of parents. Unitarian Universalists communities are positioned to address these concerns and offer community and support to parents. However, this requires a deep understanding of the challenges today’s parents face, and a willingness to let go of “the way we’ve always done things” to meet them what they are and to offer what they need.
