Chalice lighting: St James Hatchman (X) Black Lives Matter acrostic poem (Google Doc)

Light the chalice and read the poem

Read

Read & Do are pair exercises. After each one of the four short stories (Google Doc) pause to complete the emotion check in prompts in thedo section. Also allow some time for emergent discussion or questions.

If anyone asks ‘how the story ends’ or ‘what happened’ ask them to finish the story or fill in the blanks. In those cases ask the other kids to join in. Is that what they think happened? What else could’ve happened? Do we know what happened historically?
