The MidAmerica Region of the UUA provides congregational life services to approximately 187 congregations, 5 emerging congregations, and 7 covenanted communities across 13 states. These services include leadership development, faith formation, cultural competence and dismantling systemic white supremacy support, stewardship, mission and strategic planning work, and conflict transformation. In 2020 it also included multiple webinars, meetings, and resources for congregations, congregants, staff and clergy struggling to meet the unique demands of congregational life and ministry during a pandemic.
In the coming year money received from the Friends of MidAmerica Program will fund (among many specific and general services):
- Weekly Congregational Leaders Check-In to support congregations adapting to changes from COVID-19.
- Monthly Small Congregation virtual meetings to support the work of family sized congregations
- A virtual leadership program, Extended Leadership Experience, for spring 2021.
Friends of MidAmerica donations come in the form of $10, $50, and $500 or more and be made online or checks payable to “MidAmerica Region,” write "Friends" in the memo line and mail it to 2355 Fairview Ave. N. #312, Roseville, MN 55113.
