The UU Racial Justice Ecosystem Fall 2025 Wave Cohorts

Cohort Details

Unitarian Universalism has held racial justice at the core of our faith for many years, yet that work has often been siloed and disconnected. We are interested in gathering religious professionals with racial justice in their portfolio to create a stronger web of collaboration. Together, we will explore the current landscape of the UU racial justice ecosystem, strengthen the connections between leaders, program designers, and institutions, and collaboratively vision a direction for our shared ongoing work. We look forward to supporting each other in the development and delivery of co-created and complimentary racial justice strategies and programs.

This Cohort is currently on pause as the facilitators take time for reflection and discernment about the most effective direction for their work. They anticipate relaunching in Spring 2026. Details will be made available on the Spring 2026 Cohort page.

Facilitators

  • Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen (Meet the Moment Program Manager, Office of the President in Administration)
  • Rev. Julica Hermann de la Fuente (Lifelong Learning Manager at the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association)

How to Join

Participation in this Wave will be by invitation only and limited to Unitarian Universalist religious professionals who hold racial justice as a part or the entirety of their work portfolio. There may be additional Waves in the future that focus on the powerful racial justice ministries of our UU lay leaders. Our team of facilitators will be reaching out directly to potential participants. If you have questions about the cohort or your eligibility to participate, please contact Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen at kallen@uua.org
