UUA Property Casualty Replacement Program 2026–2027

After conducting a comprehensive review of the insurance marketplace with our broker partner Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, LLC (Gallagher) to identify a carrier capable of offering a nationwide program, UUA has selected GuideOne Insurance Companies.

GuideOne specializes in providing tailored insurance solutions for religious, nonprofit and human service organizations. GuideOne currently underwrites more than 35,000 religious policyholders across the United States. Their program includes coverage for property/fine arts, general liability, workers’ compensation, automobile, umbrella, abuse and molestation, counseling services liability, crime, directors and officers, employment practices liability, cyber and special events, along with proprietary coverage, such as religious expression liability.

Program Highlights

• Individual policies – Each participating congregation receives its own policies for every line of coverage.
• Tailored coverage limits – Coverage limits are customized to match each congregation’s specific exposures. Aggregate limits apply solely to the individual congregation’s policy and are unaffected by losses incurred by other congregations.
• Umbrella coverage – Each congregation independently selects and purchases an umbrella limit aligning with its unique risk profile.
• Individual underwriting – Congregations are individually underwritten based on state-filed rates and congregation-specific characteristics, while benefiting from the group purchasing power of UUA.
• Premium management – Premiums are billed directly by and paid directly to GuideOne. Several different pay-plan options are available, including full pay, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly 10-installment and automatic payments.
• Online portal – Congregations have access to GuideOne’s online portal at guideone.com/myaccount to pay premiums, access billing information and download policies as needed.
• Claims handling – Claims are reported and tracked under each congregation’s unique policy number. GuideOne’s online portal allows users to build workers’ compensation virtual claims kits, access state-specific first report of injury forms and injury posters and other publications.
• Program integration – Congregations already underwritten by GuideOne can seamlessly transition into this program.
• Coverage – Gallagher will provide each congregation with coverage proposals, including a high-level comparison to your existing policies and options for additional coverage and limits if desired.
• Claims process – Congregations can report claims to GuideOne directly through the portal at guideone.com/myaccount or by calling 888.748.4326. Gallagher can provide advocacy work for complicated claims or as needed. In the event of a major disaster anywhere in the country, GuideOne’s Catastrophe Team is committed to arriving on the scene within 48 hours to assess damage.
• Risk management services – At no additional cost, policyholders will have online access to a robust, regularly updated safety resource library, including eBooks, articles, a blog, webinars and training videos. GuideOne has a longstanding relationship with premier risk management vendors who can provide free or significantly discounted services, such as:
  • SafeChurch – Immediate disaster relief services through ServiceMaster Recovery Management and other preferred claims vendors.
  • eRiskHub® – An online risk management portal designed to help mitigate your exposure to cyberattacks and minimize their effects.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute® – An organization providing nonviolent and de-escalation training and certification programs to equip organizations with the skills, confidence and framework to safely manage and prevent difficult behavior.
  • MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems – Offer organizations sexual abuse awareness training. And more.

This program ensures each congregation receives tailored coverage, streamlined premium management and access to GuideOne’s extensive resources, all while benefiting from the collective buying power of UUA.
