While employment agreements, job descriptions, and performance reviews offer clarity and promote accountability, they neither ensure nor substitute for healthy relationships between a congregation and its staff. After briefly discussing fundamental staffing tools and practices, we’ll explore the employment relationship and its challenges through the lens of covenant.
