General Assembly: GA 2026: Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere

Business General Assembly 2026

The General Assembly (GA) is the annual business meeting of the denomination. Elected moderators preside at the GA in accordance with rules of procedure. General Assemblies make overall policy for carrying out the purposes of the Association and direct and control its affairs.

The business of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is conducted online and during General Sessions; refer to the GA Business Agenda for details.

Discussion of business items (in addition to live discussions during General Sessions) occurs on the UUA Forums.

Voting at each GA shall be by accredited delegates from certified member congregations, certified associate member organizations, and trustees. Delegates looking to vote need to access their ballot via the delegate platform.

At the beginning of a General Session, ballot and election results from the previous General Session (if any) are announced.

A process observation is a brief reflection on how the meeting was conducted. Please use the Process Observation Form (Google Form) to offer your own observation.

General Assembly 2026 is a virtual event with distributed in-person options, June 14-21. While some events, including the General Sessions listed below, are available online to the public, full participation and/or voting as a delegate requires registration.

For the UUA State of the Association and reports from the Commission on Appraisal, the Co-Moderators, the Ministerial Fellowship Committee, the UU Service Committee, and the UU Women’s Federation, see Annual Reports to the 2026 GA.
