Welcome, Class of 21-22 Board Chair/Presidents! What an exciting time to choose congregational leadership. I mean it!

If your congregation is like most, this is the time of year that you are experiencing the most leadership changes. New board members, committee chairs and even staff often begin their time with a congregation in July or August, just as the new church year is about to begin.

There are youth here. And young adults. And adults. Children. We’re all here. None of us solely the future or the past. All of us in the present. We are all bridging tonight. Into a world where there are 8 principles of Unitarian Universalism and we live them all in our daily lives.

Our drop-in networking calls for congregational leaders are back for the fall and spring! These calls are for you to talk with your peers from congregations all across the region about your questions, challenges, joys and visions for the community you help lead.

When I think about covenant making, I think of Kintsugi.

Do you know about the UUA's Disaster Relief Fund? This fund was created to help congregations who need assistance in times of disaster. The fund assists congregations who have experience floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, severe winter storms or any other disaster....

Back in 1999, each June my family of four would load up our van with a tent, sleeping bags, camp stove, dishes, food and more and head out for wherever that year's General Assembly was being held....

As things change daily with COVID-19 and vaccines, our summer programs are taking different approaches to how to meet this summer. Summer Institute and UUMAC will both be meeting virtually this year.

On this Memorial Day we want to take time to recognize those who have given their lives for our country throughout its history.
