Please update your congregational leaders
It’s that time of year again! When many congregations are electing new leaders and appointing new committee chairs in preparation for the new church year.
Please remember, that in order to keep us and the UUA up to date with these changes, your congregation needs to login to your UUA account at my.uua.org and update your leadership. This is the same place you update your UU World subscriptions.

Do note that when you make updates at the UUA it can take up to a month for those updates to filter down to our database and email lists. Please be patient. Also please note that if you reach out to us to make these changes we can do it for our database, but not for the UUA - the information only flows in one direction at this point.
Why is this important
When you update your leaders, new leaders are added to our newsletter list and to our cluster lists for your cluster. Presidents are added to the president's email discussion list, treasurers are added to the CER Money list. You may not think these lists are important but the feedback we get is that the president's list in particular is very important to congregational presidents who have questions or need help with something to hear from their peers. This is also the information your primary contact uses to reach out to leadership in your congregation.
Updating at the UUA also updates emails they send out on a variety of topics to congregational leaders. These include, but are not limited to, emails about annual congregation certification and GA delegates. You don't want to miss these!
Want to join your cluster's email list but you aren't in an official leadership role? No problem, you can do so on your cluster's webpage. You may join however many of those lists you want, especially if you live in an area on the line between two groups. Any one can subscribe to the newsletter, Opportunities for Connection, or the Better Together blog emails as well.
