It’s that time of year again! When many congregations are electing new leaders and appointing new committee chairs in preparation for the new church year. While this is a time when many churches are making updates, we know that not all congregations are on the same schedule. You can make these changes at any time of the year, so please bookmark this page so you have this information.

Please remember, in order to keep us and the UUA up to date with your congregation’s changes, you need to login to your UUA account at my.uua.org and update your leadership. This is the same place you update your UU World subscriptions.

When you make updates at the UUA it can take up to a month for those updates to filter down to our database and email lists. Please be patient. Please note that if you reach out to us to make these changes we can do it for our database, but not for the UUA — the information only flows in one direction at this point.

When you make these updates, we add the new congregational leaders to our newsletter list and to our various googlegroups. So presidents and vice presidents will be added to the CER president’s group; finance chairs and treasurers to the CER money group and religious educators and those who chair RE committees to the CER RE Leaders group. We also add leadership to their congregation’s cluster list. If you don’t provide an email in your UUA information we will not be able to connect leadership to their peers through these groups.

And yes, our staff are in transitions as well, as we’ve recently lost two staff members. We’ll be reaching out in August to update you with who your primary contact is if it’s changed and keep you up to date.
