Seize This Opportunity to Share Your UU Story

By Bart Frost

Talk about your Unitarian Universalist community, for all to hear

From the Unitarian Universalist Association Board of Trustees :

How do you engage in Unitarian Universalism? Share your own true story (and win a paid registration to GA 2015 or other UU event)!

What is your UU community? What has it meant to you?

If you are a youth (completing 9th grade through one year out from high school graduation) the UUA Board invites you to share a brief video message (1-2 minutes) telling your unique story of engaging in Unitarian Universalism. We are looking for real stories of personal experiences.

We’ll share 2-4 of those messages at the beginning of the General Assembly 2015 workshop, “Listening to Leadership: Affirming Youth Voices”. At this workshop, youth and recently bridged young adults will explore together what makes it worthwhile for them to engage with Unitarian Universalism and what they imagine for their engagement in the future, while the UUA Board of Trustees listens carefully to their stories and ideas.

A panel of UUA Trustees and UU youth will select which videos to show at the workshop based on what the stories show about our Unitarian Universalist communities and how we engage in them. If your video is selected, you will be given a paid registration to GA 2015 (or, if you will not be attending GA 2015, to another regional or local UU assembly or conference of your choice).

Submit your video story by March 31 to . You will be notified if your video is selected for sharing at GA by April 15. Questions? Please contact Youth Observer Benji Janapol at .
