Pausing or Withdrawing from the Program

Pausing Your Program

Should you choose to pause your program, two options exist:

1. Hold status pauses your program for up to a year in emergency circumstances. While on hold, your will not meet with your mentor; they will be placed in the mentor pool and may be re-matched with another credentialing candidate. After a year’s time on “hold,” the Professional Development Programs Manager (PDPM) will reach out to you to discuss reengaging the program if they have not otherwise heard from you.

2. Inactive status pauses your program indefinitely. You will not meet with your mentor; they will be returned to the mentor pool and will be re-matched with another credentialing candidate. Should you choose to reenter the program, a resubmission of your application materials will be required if three years have passed since your prior application.

Withdrawing from the Program

If you choose to withdraw from the program, you will no longer meet with your mentor; they will be returned to the mentor pool and will be re-matched with another credentialing candidate. Your files will be held at the office of the PDPM at the UUA for three years. Should you choose to reenter the Religious Education Credentialing Program, new application materials must be submitted.
