Credentialing Requirements - Overview
Skilled Level
(Geared towards very part-time religious educators)
Readiness
Serving in a professional Religious Education position (generally at least 6 months)
Member of the Liberal Religious Educators Association
Religious Educator Experience Upon Completion of Level
At least 2 years at quarter time or more
Number of Competencies to be Demonstrated
4 Required, plus 1 Elective
Lens
Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression, and Multiculturalism (ARAOMC) in 4 required competencies
Learning Experiences
At least 5 Learning Experiences:
- 4 Sparks modules (or other pre-approved trainings); and
- The Multicultural Religious Education module, the Leading UU Culture Change module, a Beloved Conversations Training, or another anti-racism, anti-oppression, multiculturalism training with prior approval from the Professional Development Program Manager (online or in-person is permitted)

Meetings with mentors approximately 10 times a year.
Complete the twice-annual Mentor/Candidate Status Check forms.

8 Required, plus 1 Elective

Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression and Multiculturalism (ARAOMC) in at least 5 competencies
Learning Experiences
At least 6 Learning Experiences:
- 5 Sparks modules (or other pre-approved trainings); and
