The staff of the Office of Youth and Young Adults Ministries is participating in Standing on the Side of Love's THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE project, "The Story of Us, The Story of Now", a collective visioning process about making sense of the present moment, and what we are called to do. THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE will accomplish this through self-reflection, active listening, sharing personal and community stories, and celebrating our lives and our heroes for their courageous love. THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE offers daily, direct actions for love, and everyday one member of the Youth and Young Adults Ministries staff will take the direct action for love from the THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE calendar and report back to you. We invite you to participate and share with us your THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE experience as a comment to the blog entry. THIRTY DAYS OF LOVE begins January 16, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and culminates on Valentine’s Day, February 14! There is great power in collective action; the beauty of Standing on the Side of Love is its “open source” spirit, so bring your ideas, actions, and traditions for this journey!
