Sing in our hearts all the stirrings of compassion for the oppressed, for those who are scared and hurting.

When covenant / breaks, we need to come home / to trust.

We are stronger together because we are different, and because we are one.

We tend the spark of imagination and hope for the world to come.

Without consent, our ability to create becomes not a blessing, but a burden and an imposition.

What does the reality of interdependence ask of us as individuals and as faith communities?

Let us marvel at the miracle of being here, right now.

Though we experience discomfort, we are excited to give birth to a new, just world.

We light this chalice today to illuminate our way toward Love.

In order to be welcoming, the systems of power and privilege in our spaces need to be actively dismantled.

May the beginnings and endings in our stories be held in unconditional love and acceptance.

The 8th Principle is about actively dismantling racism.
