Pilgrim House Fellowship: A “Come-Outer” Congregation
“Come-outer” is an old New England Unitarian term for someone who has come from a previous religious affiliation. Come-outers usually act as individuals, couples, or nuclear families. More rarely, a larger group makes this decision. That is the story of the Pilgrim House UU Fellowship of Arden Hills, a northern suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.
