So far so good with creating our new web site for Red River UU. However we have two additional needs that requires some plugins. First, we want to create a members only area so we added the plugin WP User Manager. It seems to work well for us. It is free but additional addons that we may need are not. Second, we need the ability to add documents (simple document management system). Some documents (pdf format) will display in the public area like newsletters and governance. Others will display in the members only area like Board Minutes, user directory, and financial reports. We are testing Smarty Pants Project and Document Management. Again, we are testing the free version but additional addons will cost us. Before we get too far on these addons and additional expense I wanted to see if anyone else out there has recommendations for these features.
