Lynn Sabourin is the 2021 MacLean Award Recipient

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and the MacLean Award Committee awarded Lynn Sabourin the 2021 Angus H. MacLean Award for Excellence in Religious Education. The award was announced at the LREDA (Liberal Religious Educators Association) Professional Days in June, 2021 and presented at General Assembly 2022.

Lynn devoted 40 years to guiding religious education at the North Shore Unitarian Church in West Vancouver, British Columbia. Her kindness, humor, generosity, and tenacity inspired many children and youth in her local congregation. Her leadership contributed to the flowering of many religious educators across the continent through her service in the Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA), the UUA Pacific Northwest District, and the Canadian Unitarian Council. We celebrate the deep connections and meaning-making Lynn has inspired!
