New to GA: Media Volunteers!!

By Bart Frost

Timely Timeless Stories from Unitarian Universalist General Assembly

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is excited to announce the General Assembly Media Volunteer projects for 2015!

This is a brand new endeavor and will be made of up three teams of two people each. These six volunteers will be documenting General Assembly from their point of view, working on team-specific projects, and blowing up #uuaga across the numerous social media platforms.

We will field one Youth Caucus team and two young adult teams:

The Youth Caucus media volunteers are Kate and Caleb. Kate and Caleb will be wearing the white and red pins pictured above. Caleb and Kate's primary project is to gather the stories of our youth's Unitarian Universalist faith journey. They will also be sharing pictures and stories from Youth Caucus and GA-wide programming

Follow Caleb and Kate on Twitter: @YouthCaucusGA

Abigail and Derrick will be one of the two young adult teams, and both young adult teams will be identified with the blue and white pins pictured above. Derrick and Abigail's project is called #myUUcall. They will be sitting down for conversations with religious leaders (especially young adults) within our faith talking about their call to serve Unitarian Universalism. Abigail and Derrick will also be sharing their views and thoughts on General Assembly on the GA Mobile App and twitter.

Follow Abigail on Twitter at @jigsawfaith and Derrick at @bioponic. You can follow the #myUUcall project on twitter through the hashtag #myUUcall from the comfort of your home or at General Assembly.

Our second team of young adults is Beth and Kristen. Kristen and Beth will be looking for unique and awesome stories about how Unitarian Universalism has transformed you, saved you, guided you, or made your spirit soar. Look for daily posts of their work on Blue Boat Blog, and follow their project #LivingUU.

Follow Beth at @ecortez_neavel and Kristen at @kristenpsaki.

We look forward to these new opportunities to engage the larger UU community with General Assembly.
