Search Team Chair
The chair (or convener) of the search team supports the work of the search team with their tasks, as needed. Some search teams opt for co-chairs.
The chair is usually the primary liaison with the Congregational Transitions Director and UUA Transitions Team. If another person is designated as liaison, the chair should receive copies of all significant communications between the UUA and the liaison.
Other duties include:
- monitors the work and progress of the search team
- sets meeting agendas
- communicate with the board and interim minister
- facilitates search team meetings, and perhaps acting as a liaison to the Congregational Transitions Director.
Time Requirement
The role of chair requires ongoing work throughout the search process.
