Header text covered by menu

Hello, I saw a problem I could probably suggest a good fix for if I knew css better. You can probably see it on http://staging.cvuuf.org I’m not sure, but I think this is best considered a bug in the theme’s css. We have sort of a long name, and we tried also to put our mission statement in the site description. At certain widths, both lines end up wrapping, and the top navigation menu then covers the text. Maybe this is a bad idea for our site title and tagline, and maybe we’ll change to shorter text (the president and interim minister have argued against efforts to shorten them, but I haven’t yet suggested dropping the tagline here). But questionable text-length choices aside, it’s still surprising to me that the text we have gets covered up by the menu, instead of expanding the height to fit. 2 pictures contrasting the effect with different widths below. Situation #1 (ok): Looks as expected when the window is narrow enough. The full text appears, I think because some other elements are above the navigation bar: [caption id=”” align=”alignnone” width=”961”] Full text displays ok when narrow[/caption] Situation #2 (problem): When it’s wider, the header text gets covered by the menu: [caption id=”” align=”alignnone” width=”1398”] Header text covered when wide[/caption]
