How do I upload the theme from an iMac to Wordpress?
By uuawebteam
I downloaded the theme to the Downloads folder on my iMac.  I click on "choose file" on the Wordpress Add Themes page.  This opens the Finder on my iMac.  I go to the Documents folder and highlight the "uua-congregation" folder that was downloaded.  I click "choose", but instead of uploading the file, it just opens the folder showing all the files and subfolders.  Is this because the download wasn't a zip file; or if it was, the iMac unzipped it automatically?  How should I proceed?

Yeah, your iMac being set to automatically unzip compressed files is the issue. You have to upload a zip file or use FTP to upload the folder to the themes directory.

Wordpress wants you to choose the zipped file.  Not the folder containing all the theme files.  Your iMac may have unzipped it automatically (do Macs still do that?)  You might want to look in you Trash for the zipped file.
