Contact item shows only short-code - what else do I need for this to display a form?
The "Contact" item on the Utility menu shows shortcode with [contact-form to=.... Does this reference a specific plugin or is there a preferred plugin for creating a basic contact form easily? Thanks, John

Hi John,Not sure what you mean by "Utility Menu shows..." On the contact page in the demo content you'll find a shortcode to call the contact form. That is generated by the Contact Form function in JetPack. If you're using a more robust forms plugin, you could use their shortcut instead on the page.
Does that help?

thanks, Chris. I don't have Jetpack activated at the moment so will try that. I did see that there were a bunch of other "Contact Form" plugins and widgets available - any recommendations on a good one for basic contact information gathering/forwarding to an email account? Building a site is pretty new to me, so I'm learning a ton of new things to add to my toolbox. The theme really is fantastic - allowed me to rebuild our website in a very short time. Just a few more items and we'll be ready to publish to the world.

If all you're doing is a contact form, the JetPack one will be fine. That said, I would invest in one of the ones with more functionality and think about the things that a more robust system might give you (there are so many things that get easier in congregational life with well-structured forms online).Generally speaking if you're looking at the free ones, Contact Forms 7 is probably still the most popular, but look at Formidable Forms and Ninja Forms too.

Activating Jetpack and connecting it seems to have done the trick! Thanks. I'll check some of the others out.
