What is the Mosaic?

Mosaic logo is the word Mosaic multicolored gradient triangle shapes of orange, red, blue, green and black. The tagline line is "Fostering belonging and liberation in Unitarian Universalist congregations and communities."

The Mosaic is a vibrant hub of connection, resources, and support for Unitarian Universalists dedicated to dismantling racism and oppression. Responding to the call of the 2020 UUA Commission on Institutional Change's report, Widening the Circle of Concern, Mosaic resources embody our commitment to fostering anti-racist transformation across our communities.

Over two and a half days, participants will engage in:

  • Collaborative Conversations: Connect with fellow attendees in dynamic discussions that inspire and challenge.
  • Cutting-Edge Workshops: Participate in sessions designed to equip you with practical tools and strategies for impactful change.
  • Invaluable Insights: Hear from community leaders within Unitarian Universalism and beyond, gaining fresh perspectives and inspiration.

Explore Our Mosaic Resources

We've curated and tagged a wealth of resources—including trainings, books, curricula, and more—from UU sources and beyond—to support your anti-racist transformational work. Resources are tagged by topic, age group(s), focus, type, and more, making it easy to find what you need.

In addition, we are proud to introduce Mosaic’s lifespan anti-racism curriculum. This series of sessions is designed for all ages, stages, and identities and includes online facilitator training along with a multimedia collection of resources. It’s a comprehensive tool to support your journey in anti-racist learning and growth, complementing the resources available through Mosaic.

Our Mosaic Learning and Practice Communities further support congregations’ and communities' long-term commitment to anti-racist transformation. These include national online gatherings as well as smaller "skill-up" facilitated groups.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that a certification program for congregations engaged in anti-racist, multicultural transformation will launch in 2025. This program will provide additional support and recognition for those deeply committed to this important work.
