Our orientation for navigating the profession of religious education will:
- Explore interpersonal, professional, and identity-based relationships in our work;
- Introduce you to the Liberal Religious Educators Association, its resources and Code of Conduct;
- Supply you with resources for the work, including creating your own philosophy for religious education, models for understanding faith development, safety resources, and tools for dismantling systemic oppression;
- Introduce you to emerging programmatic resources; and
- Equip you with tools to navigate employment matters, professional development and credentialing.
This training uses a flipped-classroom model, where content resources will be available to you on UU Institute in advance of each live session.
