We started educating leaders about the report through our Ending Racism Committee. We now have 5 of 9 Board members including the Board President planning to be at all the meetings, another 2 Board members planning to be at at least some of the meetings and 4 of the 5 Ministry Executive Team members at all of the meetings. The meetings will be planned by the Ending Racism leadership, but facilitation will be shared. We will plan to have Board members and others take part in Q&A sessions monthly after the worship services to answer congregant questions about the report and our process. We will plan to have each theme of the report highlighted in worship at least once a month through one of the worship elements, reading, story, song, sermon, etc. We will ask the whole congregation to read the report and will offer discussions at a variety of times and places. We will educate the congregation as we do the work of educating ourselves and figuring out what we can change and how we can change it, and we will be flexible with the timing. We will start in late January, and plan to meet monthly, but decide at each meeting what we will do at the next, so we won't plan ahead of time how much time to spend on each chapter.
