Rev. Darrick Jackson is Ministerial Credentialing Director

The UUA is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Darrick Jackson (he/him) as the Ministerial Credentialing Director within the UUA’s Ministries and Faith Development staff group. He will join the UUA staff as the Ministerial Credentialing Director on March 12, 2024.

The Ministerial Credentialing Director works with persons preparing for the Unitarian Universalist (UU) ministry by communicating the requirements of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee (MFC), relating to theological schools, administering scholarship aid, and supporting opportunities for field education, internships, workshops, and other programs.

The Ministerial Credentialing Director also serves as Executive Secretary of the Panel on Theological Education and is a staff liaison without vote with the Ministerial Fellowship Committee.

Darrick comes to the UUA after serving as the Director of Ministries for Lifelong Learning of the UU Ministers Association (UUMA). Darrick is one of the authors in the book Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity and Power in Ministry. He is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry in Theology and the Arts at the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Darrick and his husband, Dr. James Olson, live in Weymouth, MA with their two cats, Merlin and Morgana.
